The Craft Council of Gujarat is pleased to share key reflections on the successful completion of the Natural Dyes Symposium: “From Soil to Style,” held over two insightful days, November 14-15, 2024. The symposium brought together artisans, researchers, students, and industry professionals, fostering an enriching dialogue on the significance, challenges, and future potential of natural dyes within sustainable and cultural practices.
The gathering highlighted natural dyes as more than a craft tradition—they are powerful tools for sustainability, heritage preservation, and artistic innovation. Participants gained insight into the historical roots, evolving practices, and contemporary applications of natural dyes, thanks to the thoughtful contributions of our esteemed speakers.
